OUR LOCATION AND OFFICE HOURS

UAB Optometry is located in downtown Birmingham, Alabama, within the University of Alabama at Birmingham campus, and convenient to all major freeways.

Our hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

24 hour, 7-day service is available for emergencies by calling 205-770-8641. A doctor will call you back.

FREEWAY EXITS AND DIRECTIONS:

From I-65 Southbound from Huntsville:
Take 6th Avenue South exit, left at first light (8th St.). Left again on University Blvd. Follow underneath freeway, pass 15th, 16th and 17th Streets. Immediately after passing underneath pedestrian walkway, look to left. Left turn into parking entrance.

From I-65 Northbound from Montgomery:
Take University Blvd. exit, turn right at end of exit on to University. Pass 15th, 16th and 17th Streets. Immediately after passing underneath pedestrian walkway, look to left. Left turn into parking entrance.

From I-59/20 Westbound from Atlanta/Chatanooga:
Take I-65 South exit in downtown Birmingham. Take 6th Avenue South exit, left at first light (8th St.). Left again on University Blvd. Follow underneath freeway, pass 15th, 16th and 17th Streets. Immediately after passing underneath pedestrian walkway, look to left. Left turn into parking entrance.

From I-59/20 Eastbound from Tuscaloosa:
Take I-65 South exit in downtown Birmingham. Take 6th Avenue South exit, left at first light (8th St.). Left again on University Blvd. Follow underneath freeway, pass 15th, 16th and 17th Streets. Immediately after passing underneath pedestrian walkway, look to left. Left turn into parking entrance.

University Blvd. (8th Ave. South) and 18th Street.
